The Evil Dead has to be (apart from Halloween 1978) the ultimate Halloween film. It is a film that has had some history from being caught up in the UK video nasties era to being banned in some countries. This film is such an awesome gore fest.
This is the original Cabin In The Woods style film. From Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, Drag Me To Hell) this s theory of a group of teenagers who go to a secluded cabin in the woods for a weekend away. They find a recording nd a strange book which the will soon come to realise the book of the dead and anything read from this book will summon the dead.
I love The Evil Dead and I know for a sure fact that I a not the only one. This is the true example of a cult classic. Across the world, millions of people know this film.
It is iconic for the character of ASH played  brilliantly by the amazing Bruce Campbell. Although many might argue that he came into the character more in the second film I really liked him in this.
If you are a gore fan this is the film for you. The gore for the time of the film was amazing and s still truly frightening.
Everything about this film is wonderful and truly brilliant I can not rave enough about it. If you have not yet had the chance to see this film yet I strongly suggest you do so ASAP.With 2 sequels and a remake, The Evil Dead is amazing. and deserves all the love it can get.
