The Supercalifragilistic Saving Mr Banks tells the story of how the man behind one of the most icon brands in the world Walt Disney and his fight to win the film rights to P.L Travers (Emma Thompson)classic book Mary Poppins. The novel was very special to Travers as it was about the author’s father, a story that is actually about saving the parents not the children.

Sometimes when you look back at some of the so called greats, we sometimes forget the struggles to bring the story to the big screen but more often we forget some folks for many reasons don’t want the source to become the film. Despite the times Saving Mr Banks trailer feeling like 3 minute advert, the trailer certainly conveys the charm, warm, giddy and will pull at some folks heart strings too. The trailer does the job setting the tone and with Disney giving The Blind Side director  John Lee Hancock access to archive it looks like he’ll repay the generosity with a potentially Oscar targeted film.

Fantastic cast for this film which includes B.J. Novak, Colin Farrell, Bradley Whitford, Jason Schwartzman, Paul Giamatti, and Ruth Wilson. Saving Mr Banks is due to arrive in UK on 14th January 2014 (USA 13th December).
