The Festival New Trailer Inbetweeners Joe Thomas Attempts To Be ‘Funny’

The Festival

Are you missing the boys from The Inbetweeners? Next month Inbetweeners creator Ian Morris will be hoping The Festival will be headlining in Cinemas. Last month we got our first glimpse of the film’s first trailer today we get a new UK Trailer which gives us more of the story.

He may not be Simon anymore but Joe Thomas is doing his damn best to inject the spirit of cult character into his new one. Fans of the cult Channel 4 show will probably love this. The Inbetweener films connected with an even larger audience (worldwide) and this one probably appeal to those fans. However, on a recent trip to the cinema, the first trailer played and got a very negative response, makes me very skeptical of this.

When Nick’s (Joe Thomas) girlfriend dumps him at graduation, he has a colossal meltdown in front of the entire university. He’s convinced his life is over, but his best mate Shane (Hammed Animashaun) has the perfect solution: three days at an epic music festival. With the help of “festival aficionado” and certified oddball Amy (Emmy Awardร’ nominee Claudia Oโ€™Doherty), Shane tries to get Nick to embrace the music, the mayhem and the mud. From the creators of THE INBETWEENERS comes THE FESTIVAL, a comedy about friendship, growing up, and going mad in a field.

The film also stars Hammed Animashaun, Claudia Oโ€™Doherty, Hannah Tointon, and Jemaine Clement.

If you want to go to the ‘mother of all music festivals, pack your bags, grab your wellies and catch The Festival on 14th August.
