Diane Morgan’s Cunk On Cinema Gets Trailer, Release Date
The first trailer for Cunk on Cinema, the latest instalment of Charlie Brooker‘s critically acclaimed mockumentary series starring Diane Morgan (Mandy, Ann Droid) as Philomena Cunk, is finally here.
The long-awaited three-part series, preceded by global cult classics including Cunk on Life and Cunk on Earth, will see Cunk examine the worldโs love affair with movies. It’s set to cover everything from the invention of the camera to the New Wave filmmakers of the 60s, right up to the arrival of CGI and the future of AI.
In the newly released trailer, we witness Cunk asking 23 industry experts the most hard-hitting questions related to cinema. One of those experts is director Michael Bay (Bad Boys, Transformers), whom Cunk asks, “If you made a film that’s 12 metres long at the cinema, would I need a 12-metre TV to watch it at home, or do you just film it again with smaller actors and sets?”
She also questions multi-award-winning actor Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game,ย Sherlock), asking him, “When you’re trying to get inside a character, which hole do you enter by, north or south?” Both appear baffled by Cunk’s probing.
