‘Widow’s Bay’ Kate O’Flynn Joins Olivia Wilde Comedy ‘Naughty’
Kate O'Flynn in Widows Bay
Widow’s Bay breakout star Kate O’Flynn has joined Olivia Wilde’s upcoming film, Naughty, alongside Jamie Demetriou and Dexter Sol Ansell. This will mark Wilde’s fourth directorial feature since 2019.
The film will also star Jennifer Aniston, Peter Dinklage, Chase Sui Wonders and Ike Barinholtz. Regina Hall, Samara Weaving, Kate Berlant and John Early also star.
While character details for O’Flynn, Demetriou and Ansell remain under wraps, the films’ premise is not. Naughty follows Mallory (Aniston), whose only hope of securing custody of her son from her gaslighting trash-bag ex is to find Santa Claus (Dinklage) and convince him to testify in her divorce hearing. Jimmy Warden, who wrote Cocaine Bear, wrote the screenplay. LuckyChap is producing alongside Wilde and Warden, with Executive Vice President of Production Development Sara Scott and Director of Production Development Jacqueline Garell overseeing the project for Universal.

O’Flynn won her first Emmy this year for her supporting role as Patricia in Apple TV’s horror comedy, Widow’s Bay. The series, created by Katie Dippold, was the most nominated show this year and set a record for the most Emmys won by a comedy series in a single season, with 14 wins. It’s no surprise then that a second season has already been greenlit. O’Flynn’s other upcoming projects include Tender Loving Care and Sweetsick, starring opposite Cate Blanchett. She is repped by Conway van Gelder Grant and Entertainment 360.
As for BAFTA-winning Demetriou, he recently appeared in Charli XCX’s A24 film The Moment. His upcoming projects include Netflix’s Pride and Prejudice miniseries by Dolly Alderton and Only Murders in the Building Season 6. He is repped by United Agents and CAA. Ansell is best known for his role as Prince Aegon “Egg” Targaryen in HBO’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. He previously played Young Coriolanus in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and appeared in Robert Zemeckis’ Here. He is repped by WME and Independent Talent Group.
Naughty is scheduled for release in cinemas on November 5, 2027.
