It’s time to pick up your sword, oil your six packs slip on those sandals and seize your glory! But for the rest of us leave your brain at  the front door pick up your popcorn and enjoy brand  new UK trailer for 300: Rise Of An Empire !

It’s 8 years in the making the follow up/spin off  is sailing closer to its release date but are we ready to see those semi naked warriors of Greece spill the blood?  300: Rise of An Empire roughly set roughly the same time as the original 300 with battle now set on the seas Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) has now defeated Leonidas he sets his eyes on the whole of Greece, but  Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) The Greek general attempts to unite all of Greece and prevent Artemisia (Eva Green) the general of Persian Naval forces succeeding.

Will Noam Murro be able to capture visual style that Snyder captured in 300? Certainly the tone is there and everything looks bigger, meaner more bloodier more absurd as ever making sure if they die by the sword or drown in seas they fight its all done in the name of the Queen. It might have been a mans world but with the Persians with a powerful woman in their corner so must the Greeks, Queen Gorgo (Lena Headey) reminds Spartan women  can fight the fight too!

Lighten up and give you brain a rest watch something that doesn’t take itself seriously and enjoy the ride when  300: Rise Of An Empire is set for 7th March 2014 UK release with USA 8th March 2014David Wenham , Jack OConnell, Hans Matheson all co-star.

Synopsis

Based on Frank Miller’s latest graphic novel Xerxes, and told in the breathtaking visual style of the blockbuster “300,” this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield—on the sea—as Greek general Themistokles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war.  300: Rise of an Empire pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemesia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy.
