Studio Ghibli’s Whisper Of The Heart Next For IMAX Release
GKids and All The Anime this week fully re-release Kiki’s Delivery Service after last week’s IMAX release. The next Studio Ghibli has already been planned Whisper Of The Heart for a IMAX release and tonight we get a look at the release’s UK Trailer.
GKids are now the legendary Studio Ghibli’s UK home and they are fast movers to share the magic of these timeless classics. Whisper Of The Heart night not be a Hayao Miyazaki release, it’s directed by Yoshifumi Kondล. Sadly this film ended up being his only film for the studio as he died aged 47, a few years after the film’s release.
Whisper Of The Heart does feel tonally a little different from Ghibli’s other films. It still deserves to be of the same pedestal,ย mixing light fantasy with growing up. We follow a 14 year Tokyo girlย who wants to be a big writer,ย who falls for a boy who rents the same books from the library.
This film is massively underseen and deserves to be seen by all anime fans.

Whisper Of The Heart will be in UK and Irish cinemas 4K Remastered and IMAX from 16th September.
