Jackie Chan’s The Shadow’s Edge Gets A 4K February Release!

In February, Trinity CineAsia will release Jackie Chan‘s action thriller The Shadow’s Edge on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and Digital.
Larry Yang (Ride On) directs and it stars Zhang Zi Feng, Tony Leung Ka-fai, Ci Sha, Jun, and Zhou Zheng Jie.
Our writer, Robert Ewing, watched the film for us, giving it four stars. He described it as “Jackie Chan’s finest film in nearly a decade, offering thrilling, if imperfect, action in a pulse-pounding game of cat-and-mouse set in the digital age.”

Their mission: to track down the elusive “Wolf King,” Fu Longsheng (Leung Ka Fai Tony, Election, Cold War), the mastermind behind the heist. As the police close in, the thieves spring a trap of their own. Brains clash, loyalties are tested, and the ultimate cat-and-mouse game is about to begin…
From award-winning writer-director Larry Yang (Ride On, Mountain Cry), Jackie Chan and Leung Ka-Fai Tony reunite for the first time in twenty years, following their collaboration on The Myth. Now, the 71-year-old Chan plays a retired police officer, a role that continues his long-standing portrayal of law enforcement figures on screen. The Shadow’s Edge references elements of his Police Story character while offering a contemporary take on the “veteran cop” archetype.
Leung Ka-Fai Tony has dominated the screen throughout his varied career. Never repeating the same role twice, he was inspired to step back into portraying a villain in this updated, modernised take on Eye in the Sky. At 67, the four-time Hong Kong Film Awards’ Best Actor winner, who has largely focused on arthouse films, achieves a new breakthrough with this highly demanding role, showing both the psychology and physicality of this elite criminal.
