You’re Eddie The Eagle! Here’s Your First Clip

The buzz is already kicking off for Eddie The Eagle starring Taron Egerton after last night’s surprise screening at Sundance Film Festival. Ahead of it’s premiere here in UK, the film  receives it’s first clip  Eddie is encouraged to go for that jump by his coach Bronson because he is Eddie The Eagle!

Eddie the Eagle follows the realisation of the childhood dream of Eddie, and his unflinching determination to become Great Britain’s first Olympic ski-jumper. Reluctantly aided by former ski-jumper Bronson Peary(Hugh Jackman) as his coach, Eddie is unwavering in his quest to reach the 1988 Calgary Winter Games. Eddie the Eagle is an uplifting, inspirational story that celebrates human spirit, passion, and one man’s refusal to accept defeat.

When it comes to heroes, that doesn’t mean in defeat you can’t be one. Against all odd Eddie Edwards was never going to win big but his effort and overall achievement is what matters. In many peoples eyes that is enough to make those you love proud making you a hero in their eyes.

Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service) stars as Eddie with Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) as his coach Bronson Peary,.Christopher Walken, Tim McInnerny, Keith Allen, Iris Berban, Rune Temte and Jim Broadbent all star too . The film is directed by Dexter Fletcher (Sunshine on Leith) and produced by Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman: The Secret Service).

Eddie The Eagle will land in UK&Ireland on 1st April 2016 (USA 26th February). We have a hunch this could possibly be Glasgow Film Festival secret film, we’ll find out 25th February when the actual film will be revealed!
