As promised X-Men: Dark Phoenix First Trailer has finally arrived! In the wee small hours of the night, The Phoenix arrived thanks to Twentieth Century Fox. Charles Xavier and his school of gifted kids, better known as the X-Men face their greatest challenge. When a friend becomes a foe when Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) becomes the villain.
X-Men: Apocalypse left many fans divided, leaving the future of the franchise up in the air. This one certainly looks like it will be the last of the Prequels (other X-Men spin-off are coming). Things didn’t look too good for this one either with delays, casting conflicts and reshoots delaying the release.
On the evidence of the Trailer, things look solid and a lot better than the last time Dark Phoenix Saga was adapted for the big screen. X-Men: The Last Stand was such a mess, the key is how much will they learn from that film? This film director Simon Kinberg was the writer for that one. Will he go for more comic book source tan new ideas?
Check out the First Trailer below…
In DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiralling out of control and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.
Dark Phoenix will star James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, and Jessica Chastain.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix will arrive in the UK and Ireland Early 2019, exact date still to be Confirmed.
