WORLD WAR Z Synopsis Revealed, (along with release date) Expect Big changes in Plot

When it comes to books, sometimes comic books been adapted for the big screen its changes need to be made to make sure the movie adapts smoothly, its part and parcel of the movie but you also have to keep some source element of the book too. I haven’t read Max Brook‘s World War Z,( I’ve read zombie survival guide) but as the front cover of the book it calls it “An Oral History of The Zombie War.”, the story of the epic war between humans and zombies. It follows a researcher who travels around the ‘ear zones’ speaking to survivors and cataloguing their witness accounts giving Brook’s book an documentary feel so we would assume changes but keeping majority of the book’s structure with Pitt the narrator with the people he interviews only there to relive the nightmares, Yes? Wrong!
Paramount Pictures have released the official synopsis for the film which is going to leave fans of the book disappointed, who can accept some changes but to rip the heart of the movie the highly anticipated adaptation could now become an unwanted one. In this version the actual outbreak will be happening during the movie with Brad Pitt playing a U.N researcher looking for the cause of the outbreak rather than cataloguing it , here’s what the synopsis tell us:
The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself. Enos plays Gerry’s wife Karen Lane; Kertesz is his comrade in arms, Segen
Its very disappointing to see these change but actually I’m not surprised as the original concept (book version) would have been perfect but its a documentary mostly one character story which only the books fans would appreciate, the rest of the film fans want action, suspense and characters to relate to. This movie may not be that bad , fingers crossed Paramount pull the white rabbit out the hat and surprise us all. This movie has so much potential but its probably lost a few stars from the buzz meter after todays news. The 2 things that are concerning myself is who they got for director Marc Forster whose track record is mediocre could spell doom for this movie even if they stuck to the books plot, the other thing is this movie going to be a PG-13? ( 12A in UK)If it is you may as well have this one up for the golden raspberries in 2013!
World War Z has been given a December 22nd, 2012 and stars Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos, James Badge Dale, Elyes Gabel, Julia Levy-Boeken, Katinka Egres.
