Welcome To Ben Affleck’s Gambling World in Runner Runner Trailer

Ivy League University and gambling are not really two things you would associate with each other how ever fees are sky high and Richie Furst needs $60,000 to pay them. What do you do Richie? Try win them on a gambling site, but trying to get your winnings is another matter, step forward the official trailer for Runner Runner.

Justin Timberlake plays Furst the prodigy student in dire need of the cash to keep him at Princeton, so when he thinks he’s been cheated out of a big windfall finding the the shady owner of the site (Ben Affleck) your going to be in deep doo doo. Runner Runner is directed by Lincoln Lawyer director Brad Furmann and this film is similar in tone to his previous film which is promising.It will be interesting to finally see Affleck play a villain instead of his usual hero in a film directed by himself, you could say its a challenge to see if he can produce the goods in something not made by himself. The premise is on the silly side but with a  scripting team of Brian Koppelman and David Levien who brought us Rounders, Runaway Jury, Ocean’s Thirteen this looks a solid but most of all solid film.

Runner Runner also stars Anthony Mackie, Gemma Arterton, Ben Schwartz and Oliver Cooper, the film will be released the same day as USA, 27th September 2013.
