Watching The ‘Chilling’ First Trailer For Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

Winter is coming not just in reality but soon on our cinema screens with Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. Sony Pictures have released the ‘chilling’ First UK Teaser Trailer, that goes back to where it all started!

Ghostbusters: Afterlife gave the franchise a new lease of life, with focus on Egon Spengler’s family (played by the late Harold Ramis). Now his remaining family are heading back to familiar territory, with New York City and the iconic firehouse. Not just the location, some of the original cast will be helping them out to save the world from the pending Ice age.

Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace are all returning. Is it us, is the Ice age story arc reminding us of Roland Emmerich’s disaster film, Day After Tomorrow? Could this Afterlife sequel be considered a spiritual sequel to the original Ghostbusters films?

Jason Reitman‘s Afterlife was a success box Office wise in the eyes of Sony Pictures Releasing. Gil Kenan (Monster House, Poltergeist 2015 remake) has taken over the director’s chair, a dark but fantastic animation.

In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.

The rest of the cast includes Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, Celeste O’Connor, Logan Kim, and Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire will be in UK and Irish cinemas from 29th March 2024.
