Watch The ‘Odd’ We’re All Going To The World’s Fair UK Trailer

We're All Going to the World's Fair (2021)

We’re All Going To The World’s Fair may not sound like a title for a horror film, more like a film Tommy Steele would appear in. The indie horror thriller comes from filmmaker Jane Schoenbrun and was a big hit at last year’s Sundance Film Festival. As well as Grimmfest and Fantasia Fest, now it’s ready for it’s official release, check out the UK Trailer below.

If you enjoy those online Creepy Pastas and those internet challenges young folks around the world stupidly take part despite being dangerous. Schoenburn‘s debut feature is based around the online roleplaying game We’re All Going To The World’s Fair. Anna Cobb (also making her debut), stars as teenager Casey who becomes immersed in the game spending, hours and hours online taking on the challenges the game provides. She now finds the World Fair game challenge, she must repeat the phrase “I want to go to the World’s Fair” three times as well as draw blood. Recording what happened or didn’t happen only to slip deeper into the rabbit hole making harder to see what’s reality and what is not.

We always talk about how immersed these gambling games drag people into trouble. These online games can be pretty sinister at times and this looks like will capture the loneliness of these teens. Haunting stuff…

A teenage girl, Casey, becomes immersed in an online role-playing game.

The film also stars Michael J. Rogers and Holly Anne Frink. We’re All Going To The World’s Fair will be released in select UK and Irish cinemas from 29th April. Before getting it’s home entertainment release on 9th May.
