Watch The Emotive Trailer For Lucy Brydon Body Of Water
Verve Pictures have released the Official UK Trailer for Lucy Brydon’s moving drama Body Of Water.
The film marks the British filmmaker’s directorial debut and certainly won’t an easy watch. All thanks the sensitive topic the film is covering, a study of eating disorders.
Sian Brookes plays an acclaimed war photographer Stephanie who is in recovery from chronic anorexia. After another round of treatment she attempts to reconnect with her family. After a long battle with the disorder she faces another long battle to get that second chance, can she find that strength?
It’s a film with a lot of emotion, I may not have much experience with anyone who had these disorders, I do know it’s not easy to keep on track. That’s not just psychically but mentally too.
Having just completed another round of treatment for chronic anorexia, acclaimed war photographer Stephanie (Sian Brooke) is working hard to reconnect with her family. Her mother Susan (Amanda Burton) is supportive but preoccupied by her forthcoming wedding to Annette (Kazia Pelka). Meanwhile Stephanie’s teenage daughter, competitive swimmer Pearl (Fabienne Piolini-Castle), is angry and full of resentment, refusing to give her mother a second chance. Stephanie will need all her strength to keep her head above water.
The film stars Siân Brooke, Amanda Burton, Fabienne Piolini-Castle and Nick Blood.
Body Of Water is set for an UK and Irish cinemas from 16th October.
