Princess Diana and Margaret Thatcher In The Crown Season 4 Teaser
Please rise for her Majesty the Queen as Netflix release the First Teaser Trailer for The Crown Season 4. The season marks Olivia Colman‘s final season as the Queen, however as you’ll see in the Trailer we have a couple of new arrivals Princess Diana and Margaret Thatcher.
Emma Corrin arrives as Lady Diana Spencer, soon to become Princess Diana. As we learned recently Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki will take over the role for the final 2 seasons. The other new character is a glimpse of the Iron Lady, Margaret Thatcher played by Gillian Anderson.
This new season takes us into the 1980’s which was a turbulent decade which not even the Royal family could escape. As Charles would go onto marry Diana, Thatcher was PM and took the country into the Falklands War…
As the 1970s are drawing to a close, Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman) and her family find themselves preoccupied with safeguarding the line of succession by securing an appropriate bride for Prince Charles (Josh OโConnor), who is still unmarried at 30. As the nation begins to feel the impact of divisive policies introduced by Britain’s first female Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (Gillian Anderson), tensions arise between her and the Queen which only grow worse as Thatcher leads the country into the Falklands War, generating conflict within the Commonwealth. While Charlesโ romance with a young Lady Diana Spencer (Emma Corrin) provides a much-needed fairytale to unite the British people, behind closed doors, the Royal family is becoming increasingly divided.
The Crown Season 4 launches globally on 15th November.
