Watch First Look Clip From Jennifer Reeder’s Perpetrator

Premium horror streaming service Shudder have released the first look clip for Jennifer Reeder‘s Perpetrator. The film is set to world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival today

The film marks Reeder’s second feature film since her break out feature film Knives And Skin (2019). This film also was released by Shudder who also released the critically acclaimed anthology entry V/H/S/94 (2021), which revived the widely popular found-footage horror franchise. That was preceded by last year’s Night’s End, starring Michael Shannon.

In this intense clip we meet Alicia Silverstone (The Lodge, The Killing of a Sacred Deer) who plays Aunt Hilde. She is forcing her nephew to make a hard choice.

Jonny Baptiste is a reckless teen sent to live with her estranged Aunt Hildie. On the event of her 18th birthday, she experiences a radical metamorphosis: a family spell that redefines her called Forevering. When several teen girls go missing at her new school, a mythically feral Jonny goes after the Perpetrator.

The Shudder Original Film stars Kiah McKirnan (Mare of Easttown), Christopher Lowell (My Best Friend’s Exorcism, Promising Young Woman), Melanie Liburd (The Idol), and Ireon Roach (CANDYMAN [2021]).

Shudder has not announced any release date for Perpetrator, expect it sometime in 2023.
