In the matter of less than 2 weeks an ‘unholy alliance’ will unfold for Johnny Depp at Black Mass World Premier at Venice Film Festival. The question is will Depp connect more importantly with the one alliance he’s not been popular with in a long time? The general public? Watch new TV Spot…
From hiding behind the prosthetics and make up of his previous creations, it’s so refreshing to see him attempt a character that’s real most off all genuinely scary. As seen in previous trailers Depp delivers in what we see, gripping, captivating , disturbing performances, will he be laughing all the way to the top of the awards season? Little premature to say, but looking back at hi recent track record, he may have his best chance  of winning in a very very long time.
Set in 1970s South Boston Black Mass , we meet FBI Agent John Connolly (Joel Edgerton) who persuades Irish mobster Jimmy Bulger (Depp) to collaborate with the FBI in order to eliminate their common enemy: the Italian mob. The drama tells the story of this unholy alliance, which spiraled out of control, allowing Whitey to evade law enforcement while consolidating his power and becoming one of the most ruthless and dangerous gangsters in Boston history
Black Mass will arrive in UK&Ireland 27th November. The film co-stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Dakota Johnson, Rory Cochrane, Jesse Plemons, Peter Sarsgaard and Kevin Bacon.
