Top Gun: Maverick Still Flying High On Official Film Chart

Top Gun: Maverick Still Flying High On Official Film Chart

Holding at Number 1 on the Official Film Chart, Top Gun: Maverick earns an 11th week as the UK’s Number 1 film.

Dominating both physical copies and digital downloads, the film extends its record-breaking non-consecutive run as it shows no signs of slowing down in the new year. Austin Butler’s starring role in biopic Elvis appears to be up to the challenge however, as it rises three places midweek to Number 2 – could The King return to Number 1?

Meanwhile, hit animated sequel The Croods: A New Age (3) makes a big return to the Official Film Chart, landing back in the Top 10 for the first time since 2021.

Jurassic World: Dominion drops one place to Number 4, while Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore climbs one place to Number 5, and The Batman tumbles four to 6. Downton Abbey: A New Era (7), Spider-Man: No Way Home (8) and Bullet Train (10) all enjoy another week in the Top 10.

Finally, this week’s highest new entry comes from Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, which debuts at Number 9. In this live-action adaptation of the children’s book of the same name the titular croc is voiced by Shawn Mendes, with Javier Badem and Winslow Fegley also enjoying starring roles.

This week unfortunately there is no video with this week’s chart. There possibly is a change coming, so stay tuned.
