‘This Is Only A Test’ First Viral Videos For Pacific Rim Appear Online
Apart from Christmas just around the corner this time of the year the marketing campaigns of next years big blockbusters kick off and Guillermo Del Toro’s Pacific Rim is a big one! Not just a blockbuster in size but also big in what’s in it, Giant robots and gigantic monsters! Five years since the acclaimed director has directed a film and since the summer we’ve been fed dribs and drabs and tonight it looks like Warner Bros are going to start unleashing the monster starting with 2 pieces of viral video marketing.
The first viral video is the ‘Kaiju Emergency Alert System’ the warning system that will automatically play over the television when the Kaiju attack,but who are the Kaiju? The Kaiju is the name of the giant space monsters that are attacking Earth with the Jaegers, the giant human powered robots that protect us from these gigantic beesties. The second viral video is called ‘Breaking News: Kaiju Attacks’ which shows a new report reporting an attack on San Francisco destroying the bridge and if your eagle eyed you might even get a glimpse at one of the Kaiju’s even with the video mimicking shaky cam, see the image above! Looking at the films website panpacificdefense there’s not much happening on it however there is a countdown clock and we believe its the countdown to the film’s first trailer. Del Toro himself did say the first trailer will arrive sometime in December and just over 2 weeks time Warner Bros will have a certain other ‘small 3D movie’ coming out The Hobbit:An Unexpected Journey, trailer coming with the previews of The Hobbit, Possibility?!

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end.
