These Cops Need To Wash Their Mouths! New End Of Watch Red Band Trailer
If you have itchy eyeball’s the new red band trailer for David Ayer’s End Of Watch has a suggestion to get rid of that itch. The new cop drama stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Pena as Los Angeles cops who on the beat who are determined to become plain clothes detectives one day but the pair end up stumbling on to drug cartel and attempt to handle something that’s too big for their own shoes.
The new trailer is a lot more intense than the green band trailer from a few months back and what we like about this film it’s trying to be slightly different from other previous cop films. Ayer’s has went for the found footage/hand held camera style which may not up the level of excitement but End of Watch isn’t Paranormal Activity so the hand held style does bring a sense of realism to the film maybe getting an understanding of the dangers a cop goes through on a daily basis. Ayer’s may not be blessed with box office success however his track record in films be it as director or writer is in cop drama/thrillers so hopefully his expertise will hopefully rub off and we get a decent intense film.
Cop films are usually testosterone fuelled films however End Of Watch does have a strong female cast with Anna Kendrick and America Ferrera (yes Ugly Betty herself!) two of the cast, unfortunately this new trailer doesn’t really show that part of the cast. Hopefully when the UK trailer arrives that maybe rectified as End of Watch will arrive in UK&Ireland November 23rd, but the film will first appear next month at Toronto Film festival then released in USA September 23rd. The film also stars Natalie Martinez, Frank Grillo, America Ferrera, Cody Horn, and David Harbour.
