The Mustache Rides Again In Super Troopers 3 Trailer

Searchlight Pictures has today released the first official trailer for their upcoming sequel, Super Troopers 3, the latest entry into the comedy franchise, and you can watch it below!

First released in 2001, the first film was a sleeper hit for Broken Lizard, the comedy troupe at the centre of the films, with a gross of over $23million from its small $1.5-3million budget. A sequel didn’t arrive until 2018 when a crowdfunding campaign raised over $4.7million was raised to make the follow-up with all the cast returning, and grossed $32million.

The Broken Lizard comedy team, comprised of Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske, reteams with Searchlight Pictures for a third installment of the cult classic Super Troopers franchise. With a script penned by the Broken Lizard team, Chandrasekhar returns as director with Richard Perello producing.

Chandrasekhar and the rest of the group’s members reprise their roles, along with Brian Cox, who also returns as Captain John O’Hagan and Marisa Coughlan as Ursula Hanson. Also joining the cast are Hannah Simone (New Girl), Nat Faxon (The Way Way Back), Chace Crawford (The Boys), and Andrew Dismukes (Saturday Night Live).

Synopsis:

Everyone’s favourite cops are back with the third installment of the cult comedy classic from the Broken Lizard crew: SUPER TROOPERS 3. When Farva’s wildly over-the-top Indian engagement to Thorny’s sister spirals into chaos, the Super Troopers must navigate Thorny’s schemes to break up the relationship, while trying to crack a pernicious new drug ring  — all to save the day and maybe the wedding itself.

Super Troopers 3 is set for cinemas on August 7th.
