The Hunger Games:Catching Fire Casts Alan Ritchson As Gloss
The Hunger Games has increased it’s cast once again today when Lionsgate announced they have have signed Arthur Curry aka Aquaman better known to Smallville fans as Alan Ritchson to play Gloss. The Smallville star has mostly made a name for himself on Television including Super Fun Night, Blue Mountain State and his part in The Hunger Games Catching Fire will be his biggest part to date. Gloss is former Career tribute from District , Gloss and his sister Cashmere are both competing in the Quarter Quell.
THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE will be directed by Francis Lawrence, and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the second in a trilogy that has sold more than 50 million books in print and digital in the U.S. alone.
One thing you can say about Ritchson he’ll be be eye candy for the franchise’s female fans and when I was searching information on the young actor as he has one thing in common with Taylor Lautner. He can’t seem to keep his shirt on , here’s hoping his acting ability is a lot better! Alan Ritchson joins Bruno Gunn (Brutus), Phillip Seymour Hoffman (Plutarch Heavensbee) , Amanda Plummer (Wireless) and Jena Malone (Johanna Mason) , Lynn Cohen (Mags), Meta Golding (Enobaria).
Lionsgate will release THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE on November 22, 2013.
