The ‘Beauty’ Of Where The Crawdads Sing Is On The Big Screen

Next month Sony Pictures will release Where The Crawdads Sing in UK and Irish cinemas. Like any big release, the big screen is the place to see the film, the Industry Trust’s Moments Worth Paying For campaign supports that. Today they have sent us a new short Trailer reminding us ‘beauty’ lies on the big screen.
Directed by Olivia Newman, produced by Reese Witherspoon starring Daisy Edgar-Jones. Where the Crawdads Sing is the captivating mystery of “Kya” (Edgar-Jones) who raises herself in the dangerous marshlands of North Carolina, and finds herself at the centre of a murder investigation. In this exclusive trailer, the actress urges fans to enjoy the film “on the big screen” this Summer.

From the best-selling novel comes a captivating mystery. Where the Crawdads Sing tells the story of Kya, an abandoned girl who raised herself to adulthood in the dangerous marshlands of North Carolina. For years, rumors of the “Marsh Girl” haunted Barkley Cove, isolating the sharp and resilient Kya from her community. Drawn to two young men from town, Kya opens herself to a new and startling world; but when one of them is found dead, she is immediately cast by the community as the main suspect. As the case unfolds, the verdict as to what actually happened becomes increasingly unclear, threatening to reveal the many secrets that lay within the marsh.
The film also stars Taylor John Smith , Harris Dickinson, Michael Hyatt , Sterling Macer, Jr, and David Strathairn , it’s also directed by Olivia Newman (First Match).
Where The Crawdads Sing will be released in UK and Irish Cinemas now on 22nd July.
