Sunday Short Theatre – Therefore I Am
It’s been a few weeks since we had a Sunday Short Theatre and we kick off the return with a rather cool short from the McCoubrey brothers, Therefore I Am. Running off the success of their previous short Grey Matter what better time to launch a new rather cool short film
Therefore I Am we see a mysterious encounter between a man who claims to be from the future and the man that he claims is his former self. A surreal psychological thriller about loss and regret. All set within the framework of a time travel story that loosely operates in accordance to the paradox-less MWI (many-worlds interpretation) in quantum mechanics.
“I’m not here to amend my own life in some way, I’ve made peace with all my failures…” When it comes to Time travelling films they always seem to target people attempting to aammend those fault we may have made. In Therefore I Am will be a total Mindf*ck , surreal but very enigmatic one too but fixing previous errors isn’t really the core of the film. This a time travel story that loosely operates in accordance to the paradox-less MWI (many-worlds interpretation) in quantum mechanics. Grey Matter was a dark comedy that left you chuckling away but scratching your head too, but if you loove time travel films, you’ll know even the smallest thing could alter reality.
Pay close attention things might be more clearer when you enjoy Therefore I Am…
