The Final Frontier is nearly upon us  as Justin Lin‘s entry to the rebooted Star Trek film franchise, Star Trek Beyond is merely a couple of days away. Yesterday (Sunday) we where treated to action packed TV Spot which potentially revealed a big clue to the new film’s resident villain. Today we have a tense new clip called ‘Shields Up‘ which we see The Enterprise arrive at a rendezvous point a mysterious flying object/ship approaches the ship, the crew approach with caution. However as you’ll see Kirk quickly demands the ships shields up but will it be too late?
The early buzz has been strong for the upcoming film which is good enough for us to boldly go to our local cinema complexes next weekend. Star Trek does look like it has had a healthy doze of the Film franchise Viagra which helped Fast&Furious, but will it be style over substance? The early reviews are good and if your loving the new franchise you’ll be glad to know Star Trek 4 will be in the works. We don’t know much about what premise will be, but what we do know is Captain Kirk will come face to face with the man whose legacy haunts him….his father.
Hollywood Reporter have stated Star Trek 4 will be made and that Chris Hemsworth will return as George Kirk, last seen in a small cameo in 2009 film. “In the next installment of Star Trek, Chris Pine’s Captain Kirk will cross paths with a man he never had a chance to meet but whose legacy has haunted him since the day he was born: his father.”
