With The American Superbowl coming this Sunday so does an array of marketing assets for upcoming films and the big players such as Disney will be splashing the cash for films like The Lone Ranger will get the premium airtime.

First up we have a brand new poster sent to us from our friends at Disney, the poster may not be screaming  in originality but it’s a simple poster which has our hero hero’s Tonto and The Lone Ranger himself John Reid walking away from explosions. The selling point of this poster is Johnny Depp though his previous few film may have been disappointing  but he’s still a a big name who can get bums on seats.  We mustn’t forget Armie Hammer who since The Social Network has been growing for stature and The Lone Ranger is the the start of many lead roles to come.

Whilst the new poster is for the UK promotion below we have a new TV Spot/teaser which is surprisingly been showing in the pre-show Super bowl the less glamorous part of the night. There maybe a good reason for this spot been pre-show as we believe a new 90 second trailer will play during the game coverage, whenever it plays we’ll bring it to you here at The People’s Movies!

Synopsis:The Lone Ranger, a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero  is brought to life through new eyes.  Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption

The Lone Ranger also stars Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter. The film is die for a 9th August 2013 UK&Ireland release.
