Satirical Black Comedy The Middle Man Getting A UK Release

The Middle Man (2023)

Death has a hard way to make a living, and in March darkly satirical black comedy The Middle Man will be getting a UK Cinema release.

Norwegian writer/director Bent Hamer’s film made it’s world debut back in 2021 at Toronto Film Festival. It’s done the rounds of the film festival, now Sovereign Film Distribution will give the film a UK cinema release.

The film stars Norwegian star Pål Sverre Hagen stars as Frank. We find ourselves in a small town in America’s mid-west, Frank is a ‘middle man’. He seems to deliver more bad news than good all thanks to the townsfolk living in a depression.

If you adored the Coen Brothers Fargo, this looks to be in similar vein. This looks an oddball of a film one with many awkward moments and full of compassion.

Sovereign Film Distribution haven’t yet released a UK Trailer, here’s a look at the Canadian version…

Frank Farrelli takes on the job as a middle man in the God-forsaken town of Karmack, USA, a community in a depression so deep that they need a middle man to professionally communicate more of the bad news.

The film also stars Don McKellar, Kenneth Welsh, Paul Gross, Trond Fausa, Aksel Hennie, and Bill Lake. The Middle Man will be released in the UK and Ireland on 10th March.
