Hell Hath no fury like a woman scorned maybe a woman rejected in love but when your brutally attacked and raped payback is the only route for justice.
In Return To Sender,Pike (Gone Girl) stars as a small town nurse who gets brutally attacked and raped in her own home by a mysterious man (Shiloh Fernandez). Following his arrest, she starts to write to him but the letters all get returned unopened. Determined to confront him she then starts to regularly visit him in prison and seemingly befriends him, against her father’s (Nick Nolte) express wishes. Unable to understand his daughters intentions he fears for her safety come the time her assailant is released…but has he underestimated her strength and resolve?
This may not be Gone Girl 2 but you can clearly see Pike is the star of the show and carrying the film too. There may not be a number of men ruined in her wake or plans twisted to suit her needs but you could say this is Amy as normal woman born with no silver spoon. She is a woman on a mission not be the victim but her on screen father (played by Nick Nolte) is fighting a losing battle to persuade her.
dramatic, schlocky and a film’s antagonist who deserves to feel the force of the law, will he get it? you can find out on 22nd May when Arrow Films releases the film in UK, With 29th June the film available to own on DVD.
