“Prepare For War!” Second TV Spot For Tarsem Singh’s Immortals

We all love films that’s something we can all agree on if you were n’t a film fan you wouldn’t waster your time on movie sites like The Peoples Movies. We all have our favourites, movies we hate and you’ll always have someone who wont agree but thats ย life here at The People’s Movies we all have we’re own opinions but we respect those but most of all we ย remember we’re all movie fans. I’m a big believer of those no brainer popcorn munching ย flicks which are totally ridiculous but most of all fun and getting away from why we go to cinema, to get away from everyday troubles for a few hours. These movies are good for the mind & soul recharging the mind for the ‘serious’ movies out there ย too many of one type of movie not good for the head so when a movie like Immortals comes along we feel like a child on Christmas Eve anxious for Christmas morning to see what Father Christmas has brought them.

Mythical battles between The Titans and Earth’s mere mortals I do tend to get a little excited as I was a kid in the 1980’s and was brought up in such fantasies as ย Clash Of The Titans, Beastmaster, Conan The Barbarian cheesy camp movies but exciting movies especially when your a kid. When last years terrible Clash of The Titan’s arrived it brought me back down to earth that they don’t make them like they used to and the budgets are blown on over the top green screen cgi which sometimes just looks bad, though there’s something visually appealing about Immortals which is attracting alot of people. We do see alot of 300 visual style here which did give CGI another dimension but hasn’t really been used as much until now and Singh is regarded as a visual specialist but lets hope that visual style is backed by a fun action packed adventure.

After Wednesday extended tv spot Hulu have followed that up with a new tv spot ย which you can check out below. Immortals starsย Henry Cavill, Stephen Dorff, Isabel Lucas, Freida Pinto, Luke Evans, Kellan Lutz, John Hurt, andย Mickey Rourke, movie arriving November 11th.

Eons after the Gods won their mythic struggle against the Titans, a new evil threatens the land. Mad with power, King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) has declared war against humanity. Amassing a bloodthirsty army of soldiers disfigured by his own hand, Hyperion has scorched Greece in search of the legendary Epirus Bow, a weapon of unimaginable power forged in the heavens by Ares.

Only he who possesses this bow can unleash the Titans, who have been imprisoned deep within the walls of Mount Tartaros since the dawn of time and thirst for revenge. In the kingโ€™s hands, the bow would rain destruction upon mankind and annihilate the Gods. But ancient law dictates the Gods must not intervene in manโ€™s conflict. They remain powerless to stop Hyperionโ€ฆuntil a peasant named Theseus (Henry Cavill) comes forth as their only hope.

Secretly chosen by Zeus, Theseus must save his people from Hyperion and his hordes. Rallying a band of fellow outsidersโ€”including visionary priestess Phaedra (Freida Pinto) and cunning slave Stavros (Stephen Dorff)โ€”one hero will lead the uprising, or watch his homeland fall into ruin and his Gods vanish into legend. The 3-D epic adventure Immortals is directed by revolutionary visualist Tarsem Singh (The Cell, The Fall) and produced by Gianni Nunnari and Mark Canton, the producers of 300, as well as Ryan Kavanaugh (Dear John, The Dark Fields).
