Pride And Prejudice And Zombies has been one of those colds, man-flus everyone gets once and a while you get and just when you think you’ve got rid off it, it comes back to make life hell again . Seth Grahame-Smith’s re-interpretation of Jane Austen’s classic Pride & Prejudice is a bit like that cold but in a good way when we hear news then suddenly something negative happens its all downhill but when we think the projects about to disappear it comes back. After months of whose going to direct the movie Craig Gillespie is to direct (but when?) it’s time we get more solid news on who is in the cast, we’ve had every young hot actor in Hollywood connected to the movie and now Twitch say they know who’ll play Elizabeth Bennett.
According to the sites ‘unnamed’ source Gossip Girl /Green Lantern star Blake Lively is to play the zombie-killing heroine who’s determined to wipe out the zombie menace in England, The part thats had the likes of Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska, Scarlett Johansson, Emma Stone and Natalie Portman (whose still onboard to produce).The article says the actress has met with Gillespie and its now down to her if she wants the job, Lively might not be everyone’s choice for a period drama (horror) piece as she’s more a modern ‘it girl’ but if you want to progress in the dog eat dog film industry you’ve got to try everything at least once to get more established. It’s now over 2 years we’ve been talking about this project it is now time to lay more foundations to the movie by getting a cast in place and hopefully this rumour of Blake Lively is the first brick in the creation of Pride and Prejudice And Zombies.
Blake Lively is due to start filming Oliver Stone’s Savages in the next few weeks , here’s the book’s synopsis:
