After the miserable atrocity called Clash Of The Titans Remake the Greek Gods may not always be in the good books of cinephiles worldwide but if your looking for that epic mythic adventure Humans mixing it up with residents of Olympia the Titans youcan’t deny its not a mouth watering appeal.Tarsem Singh is doing his best to make those Gods & Hero’s cool again in Immortals cool again and Ill have admit he’s doing a great job and if you need any more evidence this new 60 second TV Spot is a slick stylish video that may do the trick. Put aside the corny cheesy lines if its action, special effects with plenty visually awesome fun no brainer movie Immortals should do the trick. As for the movies lead actor Henry Cavill, I’ll admit when he got the job to be Synders’s Superman I was over the moon a British actor set to play an iconic comic superhero but more and more I see him in Immortals plus anything from Man Of Steel Im not impressed, all ill say is five words wooden, one dimensional, Sam Worthington!
Big cast here Mickey Rourke(who looks a crazy nut job, a perfect gig for a eccentric actor like Rourke), Stephen Dorff, Isabel Lucas, Freida Pinto, Luke Evans, Kellan Lutz, John Hurt with the movie arriving in UK&Ireland November 11th.
Eons after the Gods won their mythic struggle against the Titans, a new evil threatens the land. Mad with power, King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) has declared war against humanity. Amassing a bloodthirsty army of soldiers disfigured by his own hand, Hyperion has scorched Greece in search of the legendary Epirus Bow, a weapon of unimaginable power forged in the heavens by Ares.
Only he who possesses this bow can unleash the Titans, who have been imprisoned deep within the walls of Mount Tartaros since the dawn of time and thirst for revenge. In the king’s hands, the bow would rain destruction upon mankind and annihilate the Gods. But ancient law dictates the Gods must not intervene in man’s conflict. They remain powerless to stop Hyperion…until a peasant named Theseus (Henry Cavill) comes forth as their only hope.
Secretly chosen by Zeus, Theseus must save his people from Hyperion and his hordes. Rallying a band of fellow outsiders—including visionary priestess Phaedra (Freida Pinto) and cunning slave Stavros (Stephen Dorff)—one hero will lead the uprising, or watch his homeland fall into ruin and his Gods vanish into legend. The 3-D epic adventure Immortals is directed by revolutionary visualist Tarsem Singh (The Cell, The Fall) and produced by Gianni Nunnari and Mark Canton, the producers of 300, as well as Ryan Kavanaugh (Dear John, The Dark Fields).
