Katherine Heigl is One For The Money, Watch Trailer (and probably cringe)

Looking around the T’Internet researching  a little on this movie One For The Money the running comment is the fact this movie has been rescheduled twice for release that went from early 2011 to summer up against X-men but now it has a new date  and my concern is it stars Katherine Heigl. One For The Money  stars Heigl as Stephanie Plum a character from the Janet Evanovich’s  16 book mystery series, now that’s my other concern is it really worldwide success or just a fragment of imagination from the film studio exec who wanted this book become a movie. Apologies upfront to an Evanovich’s fans but there’s only a small number of books that get the worldwide success connected to it then become films, as there is also many books who are successful but dont get films so I’m usually a little skeptical and when Heigl playing the lead character you can understand why. Don’t get me wrong she is an sexy actress apart from Grey Anatomy her films haven’t been what you call fantastic box office smash’s (Knocked Up been the only one I could Ive enjoyed) but is she the new Whoopi Goldberg? One For The Money certainly resembles the 1990’s comedies Goldberg used to appear in for fun and in a era when we seem to look backwards for inspiration for movies that might not be as bad a comment to make about the movie.

One For The Money tells the story about New Jersey girl Stephanie Plum who looses her job, down on her luck in the need for more cash she takes up a bail bonding/bounty hunter  job with her sleazy cousin and her first assignment is to bring in a cop on the run for murder and that cop just happened to be her first fling she had at School! The movie also stars Jason O Mara, Daniel Sunjata, John Leguizamo, Sherri Shepherd, Debbie Reynolds with the movie coming sometime in 2012 (USA January 27th).
