Predators Beware Robert Pattinson Is After You In Final Primetime Trailer

A suited man looks out from a door in Primetime

Beware predators, Robert Pattinson is after you! A24 Films have sent us the final Trailer for Primetime and once again this hits the spot, it’s chilling.

It was just less than 2 weeks ago, Lance Oppenheim‘s dark crime thriller made it’s world premiere at Venice Film Festival. The reception was fantastic and the film received the trademark 8-9 minute standing ovation. We know many films have received at similar ovations at various film festivals and doesn’t mean critically it’s a great film. Primetime is looking a film to check out and another sign that Robert Pattinson is a fantastic actor.

Primetime is based on journalist/broadcaster Chris Hansen. He was the presenter of American TV show To Catch A Predator which aired in the early noughties. The hidden camera show came with a lot of controversary, starting first as a regular segment on NBC News. Chris and his team would lure and snare alleged sexual predators by pretending they where minors. Whilst many supported them catching predators, it also violated entrapment laws and this led to the show being cancelled in 2008 after the suicide of alleged predator.

This film is a big focus on Chris life and setting up of the show. The ratings went through the roof and pushed Chris into the limelight, the question is was it for the good or worse? Lance Oppenheim has made a name for himself in documentaries with Some Kind Of Heaven, Spermworld.

This film also stars Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, and Phoebe Bridgers, alongside Matthew Maher and Bokeem Woodbine.

Synopsis | In 2006, To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen sets out to make television history.

Primetime will be released in UK and Ireland on 30th October (U.S it’s 25th September).
