Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief: Trailer [HD]

The trailer for the fantasy/comedy family movie Percy Jackson & Olympians: The Lightning Thief is online.

The story is about A young boy discovers he’s the descendant of a Greek god and sets out on an adventure to settle an on-going battle between the gods. Based on the book by Rick Riordan and is one of many other books which will probably see there way onto the big screen in the near future. Looking arounf the movie websites some sights have even labelled this as the new Harry Potter, maybe so with Harry nearing his final battle with voldemot.

There is a big massive cast in this with Percy been played by Logan Lerman who’s appeared in Number 23, 3:10 to Yuma and the up coming Gamer (Gerald Butler). Pierce Bronson plays Chiron, Rosario Dawson plays Peresphone, Sean Bean Sheffield’s finest plays the mighty Zeus. Uma Thurman plays Medusa, Kevin McKidd (Dr Owen Hunt from Greys Atonomy) plays Posiedon and Steve Coogan “Haha!!” is Hades.

The film is produced by Chris Columbus who brought us the first 3 of Harry Potter movies and Craig Titley has written the big screen version of the book. 1492 Pictures are releasing the movie and it will be released in UK 12th Feburary 2010
