Dorian Gray Trailer online [HQ]

Trailer for Oscar Wilde’s classic novel Dorian Gray is now online. Dorian gray  is the story of A corrupt young man somehow keeps his youthful beauty  eternally, but a special painting gradually reveals his inner ugliness to all.

Dorian Gray will be played by Ben Barnes (Prince Caspian in Narnia movies), Colin Firth as Lord Henry Wotton and Emilia Fox as his wife Lady Victoria.

The movie has been directed by Oliver Parker and written for the screen by  Toby Finaly. The film is been released by the ealing studios. There hasn’t been much publicity of this film, I heard it was to be made but I assumed 2010 release time, but UK release date will be 9th Spetember 2009, there has been no release date confirmed for USA yet. This does look a very good movie and thats coming from someone who isn’t keen on period drama/movies.

Young Dorian Gray (Ben Barnes) arrives fresh on the London social scene and is taken under the wing of corrupt, devlish Lord Henry Wotton (Colin Firth) who introduces him to the seedy pleasures of London life. Desperate to protect the youth and beauty captured in his portrait, Dorian swears he would give anything to stay as he is… even his soul. Slipping deeper and deeper into a world of sin, sex and celebrity, his deeds grow ever more evil in an attempt to hide his secret. But when he eventually finds love, Dorian struggles to hide the secret behind his eternal youth. Is it too late for redemption or can love un-lock Dorian’s humanity and save his soul?
