One Battle After Another Review | The Chronicle Take 2 Podcast

The chat continues with another episode of The Chronicle Take 2 and a review of Paul Thomas Anderson‘s One Battle After Another.

One Battle After Another takes Anderson back into Thomas Pynchon  territory with his classic 1990 novel Vineland (Inherent Vice was the other). Next to Di Caprio this also stars Benicio del Toro, Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, and Chase Infiniti to name a few. The plot details for the film can be a bit of a spoiler but can be look at it two ways: The rise and fall of French 75, a left wing terror/vigilante group. Or simply a stoner alcoholic attempting to find his missing daughter when his old life catches up with him. Bob Ferguson (DiCaprio) was the gadget man for the group who now brings  up his daughter Willa (Infiniti) on his own. It’s a project the director has been working on since 1999/2000, will it be worth the wait?
