New Rita Repulsa Power Rangers Image Revealed
As we wait patiently for the first footage of Saban’s Power Rangers 2017 update Lionsgate have been teasing us from every possible angle. Tonight the teasing continues with a spanking new image of the Rangers’ ultimate nemesis…Rita Repulsa! Check it out…

Elizabeth Banks has the honour of playing the film’s ultimate villain, however if your looking for a proper look at her villainous beauty you might be a tad disappointed. What is she looking at? She’s behind a slightly frosted pane of glass but if you where a fan of the 1990’s Kids TV show, she’s still the same villain but different actress.
If this was a straight up remake of the spandex clad heroes from 1990s I don’t think there would be as much interest. However we know it’s been updated for the 21st Century and with Banks and co-star Bryan Cranston giving the film some Hollywood shine.
Cranston states this Power Rangers reboot will have a similar tone to Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. If this is the case, you can forget about the cheesy campness. Are you ready for a giant floating Cranston head? Only time will tell if this works and will take the franchise in a different direction.
It’s a bit early for the first trailer especially with film targeted for Spring 2017 release date, so expect a few more teasers. Project Almanac‘s director Dean Israelite is directing this one.
The cast of Power Rangers includes Bryan Cranston as the mighty Zordon and Elizabeth Banks as super-powered villain Rita Repulsa. The rangers themselves are made up from singer Becky G as Yellow Ranger Trini, Ludi Lin as Black Ranger Zack, Dacre Montgomery as Red Ranger Jason, Naomi Scott as Pink Ranger Kimberly, and RJ Cyler as Blue Ranger Billy.
Power Rangers is set for 24th March 2017 UK&Irish release date.
