Well it’s Halloween and if you love to be spooked but like it with an atmosphere Park Chan Wook’s English Language debut Stoker will be right up your alley. Fox Searchlight UK have sent us a a brand new poster which really teases us with the film’s gothic  element , a poster that put’s many other film teaser posters to shame they tend to be generically dull. To back up beautifully crafted poster we get a brand new promotional video which shows the painstaking creation which you’ll see was hand drawn in pencil playing to eerie song Becomes The Color by Emily Wells a song that plays out the film’s end credits. Intertwined at the look on the poster’s creation we do get glimpses of new footage and apparently the poster does hide clues to the film’s story  too which is interesting as we still don’t really know much about Uncle Charlie (Matthew Goode) either, why he is here who he really is?!

2013 you could say is a make and break year for South Korea’s 3 filmmakers who are making their English language debuts Kim Jee-woon’s (I Saw The Devil) The Last Stand in January,  Bong Joon-ho’s (Mother) Snow Piercer and of course Park Chan Wook’s (Oldboy) Stoker. All directors who created some of the most iconic world cinema releases in the last 10 to 15 years but can they convert that energy that made them household names with world cinema and cult film fans? All will be revealed next year!

Stoker will arrive in UK&Ireland, USA 1st March 2013 and stars Mia Wasikowska,Matthew Goode, Nicole Kidman, Jacki Weaver, Lucas Till, and Alden Ehrenreich. You can watch the UK trailer here!

After India’s (Wasikowska’s) father dies in an auto accident, her Uncle Charlie (Goode), who she never knew existed, comes to live with her and her emotionally unstable mother (Kidman). Soon after his arrival, she comes to suspect this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives, but instead of feeling outrage or horror, this friendless girl becomes increasingly infatuated with him.
