Maggie Smith Is The Lady In The Van, Watch Trailer

She’s been a professor in Harry Potter more recently a Countess In Downton Abbey now Maggie Smith, is The Lady In The Van watch first UK Trailer. She’s one of UK’s most  loved actress who exchanges the luxury and class of Victorian for the claustrophobic sqaullor surroundings of a back of van, but why?

The Lady In The Van is adapted from Alan Bennett’s play of the same name ironically directed by the director of same production Nicholas Hytner. This is also his live feature film debut, who has directed the likes of History Boys stage play.

So what’s it all about? The Lady In The Van tells the true story tells the true story of the relationship between Alan Bennett and the singular Miss Shepherd, a woman of uncertain origins who ‘temporarily’ parked her van in Bennett’s London driveway and proceeded to live there for 15 years.

Hynter and Bennett entertainment wise is a marriage made in heaven, their relationship so far from the stage and now to the big screen. The History Boys connection continues into the cast with James Corden, Dominic Cooper and their joined Alex Jennings,Frances de la Tour,Jim Broadbent,Gwen Taylor. There’s even talk of possible Oscar talk, it doesn’t surprise us, Smith is acting royality and fanatastic heart warming, film to look forward too.

Film arrives in UK&Irish cinemas from 13th November.
