Lionsgate Updates La La Land Poster for Film’s 10th Anniversary
It seems the City of Stars really is shining just for you Ryan Gosling! After a decade of being “haunted” by the iconic La La Land poster, Lionsgate has fixed Gosling’s hand ahead of the film’s 10th anniversary release.
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Gosling confessed that he wished to redo his role in La La Land over the fact that he didn’t hold his hand up flat during the A Lovely Night dance sequence. At the time, he thought it would look “cooler” despite everyone telling him it wouldn’t.
Unfortunately, the iconic moment overlooking Los Angeles became the film’s poster, and he is forced to remember his “La La Hand” every time he looks at it.
Not anymore! The new and improved poster has rectified the situation, and while it may seem a small detail to some, La La Land fans have taken to the internet to express their excitement over the adjustment. Proper celebrations are in order on August 16th when the film is rereleased in AMC Dolby Atmos cinemas.

La La Land follows the relationship between Mia (Emma Stone) and Sebastian (Gosling), a struggling actress and jazz musician, who at the brink of success become confronted by the decision to choose either their careers or each other. The Los Angeles-based musical won six Academy Awards, including original score for Justin Hurwitz, and best director for writer-director Damien Chazelle (Whiplash, Babylon).
