Universal Pictures Release First Teaser For Michael
Universal Pictures have released the first teaser for Michael, the long-awaited biopic documenting the life of one of history’s greatest entertainers, Michael Jackson.
Director Antoine Fuqua (The Equalizer trilogy, Training Day) and screenwriter John Logan (Gladiator, The Aviator) will handle Michael Jackson’s legacy for the big screen.
The film will be led by Jackson’s real-life nephew Jaafar, alongside an ensemble cast featuring Colman Domingo, Nia Long, Miles Teller and Laura Harrier.
Michael’s production was halted by delays and reshoots, so the teaser’s release is a sign to fans that the film is imminent. Lionsgate will handle U.S. distribution. Universal Pictures are distributing internationally.
Michael is the cinematic portrayal of the life and legacy of one of the most influential artists the world has ever known.
The film tells the story of Michael Jackson’s life beyond the music, tracing his journey from the discovery of his extraordinary talent as the lead of the Jackson Five, to the visionary artist whose creative ambition fueled a relentless pursuit to become the biggest entertainer in the world.

Michael is currently scheduled for release on 24th April, 2026.
