LIFF 2012: “I Never Leave Anyone Behind!” First TV Spot For Argo

This morning BFI 56th London International film festival was officially launched and one of the films announced to show at this years festival was Ben Affleck’s political thriller Argo and tonight we have the first tv spot. Apparently based on a true story set during the Iranian revolution of 1979 as a CIA agent who plans a rescue mission to rescue 6 trapped American nationals from the country and rescue them under the disguise of a film crew shooting a sci-fi film called ‘Argo’ in the country.
The new spot does show off snippets of new footage playing on the ‘thrill’ of the rescue as the rescue team attempt to get in then out in a race against the clock. This really intrigues us with the secret agent side of things however Argo is a satirical based flick and many critics say the comedy element could be the vital key to the success of the film, a key which hasn’t really been seen so far. As ever fantastic cast in this one: Alan Arkin, Bryan Cranston, John Goodman, Zeljko Ivanek, Richard Kind, Scoot McNairy, Chris Messina, Michael Parks, Kerry Bishe, Kyle Chandler, Tate Donovan, Clea DuVall, Victor Garber, and Taylor Schilling.
Argo will be on national release in UK&Ireland 9th November.
