Is Jason Clarke To Save The Human Race In New Terminator Film?

With Arnie back in the fold and a new  Terminator on the horizon for 2015 the cast is slowly taking shape and tonight we seem to have the saviour of the human race John Connor, it seems that man will be Jason Clarke.

The Australian born actor is an man in demand after his role in Zero Dark Thirty, possibly considered as his breakout role, he followed that with the Great Gatsby and bad guy duty in White House Down. Summer 2014 he’ll get his chance in the tentpole blockbuster Dawn Of  The Planet Of The Apes and now seems he’ll get his chance to save all humanity.

So Who is John Connor? Surprisingly there is some don’t know who he is the legendary leader of the human resistance who leads us in battle against Skynet hence keeping our existence alive. In the previous Films we have met John at certain stages of his life fom Edward Furlong, Nick Stahl and most recently Christian Bale., Clarke does seem the perfect choice however it seems his mother Sarah Connor will be in the fifth movie and the actress been linked to the role are around 15 plus years younger than Clarke Emilia Clarke (Game Of Thrones) and Brie Larsson (Short Term 12).

With the age range of the cast this could possibly mean Terminator 5 will have the time travelling  arc so that he can exist in the same time frame as his younger mother and his father (Garret Hedlund, Nicholas Hoult and Taylor Kitsch all rumoured to be lined up to play Kyle Rheese John’s father). What role will Arnold Schwarzenegger play? His legendary role or  possibly the scientist responsible in creating the terminators leading back to the rumour that Dwayne Johnson could be the terminator hunting the connors down. With release date set for July 2015 it wont be long before the casting and possible plot info to arrive.

Allan Taylor (Thor:The Dark World, Game Of Thrones) will direct Terminator which will be based on a script from Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier.
