In Croc Horror Crawl First Trailer…They Where Here First!

If the storm doesn’t get you, they will. The Summer blockbuster season is nearly upon us, so comes those crazy filler films like Crawl.

Alexandre Aja‘s (The Hills Have Eyes , Maniac Remakes)upcoming horror pits human survivors of a disastrous hurricane against giant alligators. The living dinosaurs left roaming our little planet, they do human meat every so often, especially in this one!

The film sees Maze Runner twosome Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper play father and daughter duo. Set in a Florida town, against orders to evacuate Hayley (Scodelario) goes searching for her dad finding him injured int heir home. With flooding waters trapping them they find themselves surrounded by a congregation of hungry gators.

The trailer does look very tense and does sell the horror tone really effectively. Doesn’t really go for the cheesy 4th wall silliness but a more serious feel. It’s a film that will challenge Scoderlario lead the film strongly.

I do hope there not pushing the fact Sam Raimi as the film’s producer to get bums on seats. Aja is one the nest visual orientated directors, this won’t win plaudits. Hopefully one that will win in entertaining rather than another miss for director.

When a massive hurricane hits her Florida hometown, Haley (Kaya Scodelario) ignores evacuation orders to search for her missing father (Barry Pepper). Finding him gravely injured in the crawl space of their family home, the two become trapped by quickly encroaching floodwaters. As time runs out to escape the strengthening storm, Haley and her father discover that the rising water level is the least of their fears. From director Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes) and producers Craig Flores (300), Sam Raimi (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead) and Alexandre Aja, Crawl is a nail-biting horror thriller in cinemas soon.

Crawl doesn’t have a confirmed UK or Irish release date confirmed, ‘Coming Soon’. In the U.S it’s 12th July so possibly similar release time.
