The HUNGER GAMES Receives A New Trailer!

What a way to start of the night after watching the brilliant Chronicle today we start off Thursday’s goodie bag with a cracker the official Second trailer for THE HUNGER GAMES is Here!It’s a short one so could be also counted as a extended tv spot as it clocks in at 1 minute 9 seconds and it’s also apparently going to be the film’s superbowl spot despite been named as a theatrical trailer whatever you want to call it it’s just wonderful to see it.

Still not alot revealed but I believe it’s one of those stories revealing too much will spoil the fun but what we do see is a few scrapings of action, cool shot of a futuristic train, our first look at President Snow (Donald Sutherland) and extended look at Stanley Tucci as Caesar Flickerman trying to do his best Des O’Connor impression. Overall what will excite fans of the book is the first look at the icon of the franchise the Mockingjay but what’s even better is The Hunger Games is out next month!!!

In a not-too-distant future, the United States of America has collapsed, weakened by drought, fire, famine, and war, to be replaced by Panem, a country divided into the Capitol and 12 districts. Each year, two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. Part entertainment, part brutal intimidation of the subjugated districts, the televised games are broadcasted throughout Panem as the 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors, literally, with all citizens required to watch. When 16-year-old Katniss’ young sister, Prim, is selected as the mining district’s female representative, Katniss volunteers to take her place. She and her male counterpart, Peeta, the son of the town baker who seems to have all the fighting skills of a lump of bread dough, will be pitted against bigger, stronger representatives who have trained for this their whole lives.
