First UK Poster For Richard Coyle’s PUSHER

Our friends over at Vertigo Films have shipped us over the first UK poster for British gangster flick PUSHER, which is directed by Luis Prieto and features a cast that includes Agyness Deyn, Richard Coyle, Bronson Webb and Paul Kaye.

The film’s name might be familiar to some cinehpiles especially those who enjoy world cinema titles and of those of Nicholas Winding Refn as its based on his cult classic from 1996 which starred Mads Mikkleson. To many the Danish director wouldn’t have really been a familiar name until last summer when his break through English language flick DRIVE which has helped to propel Ryan Gosling up into the A-List. Drive was regarded as one of the coolest films of last year and don’t be surprised if this one brings a bit of elegance to the British thriller which has frankly been inconsistent and to top this film off Nicholas Winding Refn is the film’s executive producer!

We’ve not had a official synopisis for this one just yet but here’s what we do have…..

An East London dealer (Richard Coyle) grows increasingly desperate after a botched get rich quick scam leaves him with a large debt to repay to a ruthless drug lord.

Pusher is set for a May 2012 UK&Irish release.
