Hamilton Disney+ Trailer ‘Confronts The Past, To Shape The Future’

Last month we learned the long anticipated Broadway musical Hamilton screen version will be released on Disney+. That day is only a couple of weeks away and now Disney have released the Trailer.

Fans of the stage version will be happy to know, this looks like it will tick of the boxes of expectations.

The award winning musical has graced theatres not just in Broadway, the show also played London West End in 2017. The cast cast is racially diverse and was praised also for it’s educational story not forgetting it’s contemporary music,

Hamilton tells the story of the American revolution and the birth of the country’s financial system. Seen through the eyes of one of the nation’s founding fathers Alexander Hamilton.

Anyone who hasn’t signed up to Disney+, won’t be able to see the film on the channel’s Seven day free trial. Disney will be stopping the free trials and will do it again when they release Frozen 2.

The cast includes many of the original Broadway cast: Lin-Manuel Miranda as Alexander Hamilton; Daveed Diggs as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson; Renée Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler; Leslie Odom Jr. as Aaron Burr; Christopher Jackson as George Washington; Jonathan Groff as King George; Phillipa Soo as Eliza Hamilton; and Jasmine Cephas Jones as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds; Okieriete Onaodowan as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison; and Anthony Ramos as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton.

The cast also includes Carleigh Bettiol, Ariana DeBose, Hope Easterbrook, Sydney James Harcourt, Sasha Hutchings, Thayne Jasperson, Elizabeth Judd, Jon Rua, Austin Smith, Seth Stewart and Ephraim Sykes.

Hamilton will be streaming on Disney+ globally 3rd July.
