He’s Gringo In USA But In UK Mel Gibson It’s HOW I SPENT MY SUMMER VACCATION , Watch UK Trailer

2 Weeks ago we watched the USA trailer for Mel Gibson’s newly renamed GET THE GRINGO which will see the troubled actors latest film go direct to VOD. Today the film’s UK distributor Lionsgate have whisked us over the UK trailer and poster and guess what here in UK&Ireland the film keeps the original name HOW I SPENT MY SUMMER VACCATION which sees Gibson plays a getaway driver who gets caught thrown into a Mexican jail learning to survive thanks to a 10 year old boy.

The new trailer looks alot more action focused than the American one, the festivals the film has played its come out with some positive reviews but will it get people flocking back to see Mel Gibson on the big screen? It’s a hard question but I’m one of the very few critics who actually enjoyed the actor in The Beaver I’m for giving people second chances sadly for now when it comes to anything Mel Gibson people are going to judge him on his controversial open views, if he keeps his nose clean and proves through film the way we want to see him shine then people may forgive.

It’s been a bad day for Driver (Gibson) and it’s not getting any better. He just made a big haul of millions that would give him a nice summer vacation on easy street.  A good idea that went south – literally.

During a high-speed car chase with the US Border Patrol, and a bleeding body in his back seat, Driver flips his car smashing through the border wall, tumbling violently, coming to a stop … in Mexico.  Apprehended by the Mexican authorities, he is sent to a hard-core prison where he enters the strange and dangerous world of “El Pueblito”, the worst prison in all of Mexico.  Not an easy place for an outsider such as Driver to survive, unless it’s with the help of someone who knows the ropes – a 10 year-old kid. 

Directed by Adrian Grunberg, How I Spent My Summer Vacation, is produced and starring  Mel Gibson,along with Daniel Gimenez Cacho, Jesus Ochoa, Roberto Sosa, Dolores Heredia, Kevin Hernandez, Fernando Becerril, Mayra Serbullo, Mario Zaragoza, Gerardo Taracena, Tenoch Huerta and Peter Gerety.

HOW I SPENT MY VACCATION will be getting a cinematic release in UK&Ireland on May 11th ten days after the film gets a video on demand release Stateside.
