‘Follow The Baboon’ In Final Mufasa: The Lion King Trailer

Disney have released one final UK Trailer for Mufasa: The Lion King. Follow that Baboon, as iconic characters from the franchise are introduced with Kingdom’s forging!

Every great story has to start somewhere, including one of Disney’s most loved stories The Lion King.  This trailer comes direct from D23 Brazil with Rafiki (John Kani), Timon (Billy Eichner) and Pumbaa (Seth Rogen) all showing up.  Barry Jenkins (Moonlight) directing the film based on the 2019 CGI remake.

Mufasa: The Lion King how the orphaned lion  Mufasa (Aaron Pierre) becomes the king.  Forming that pride with his brother Taka (Kelvin Harrison Jr), will this film be on your radar?

Mufasa: The Lion King enlists Rafiki to relay the legend of Mufasa to young lion cub Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, with Timon and Pumbaa lending their signature schtick. Told in flashbacks, the story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone until he meets a sympathetic lion named Taka—the heir to a royal bloodline. The chance meeting sets in motion an expansive journey of an extraordinary group of misfits searching for their destiny—their bonds will be tested as they work together to evade a threatening and deadly foe.

The rest of the voice cast includes Tiffany Boone, Kagiso Lediga, Preston Nyman, Thandiwe Newton, Mads Mikkelsen, Anika Noni Rose, Keith David, John Kani, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. Braelyn Rankins, Theo Somolu, Folake Olowofoyeku, Joanna Jones, Thuso Mbedu, Sheila Atim, Abdul Salis and Dominique Jennings.

Not long now, Mufasa: The Lion King will be in UK, Irish and U.S cinemas from 20th December.
